Quality is not a four letter word.
Dialogue has just achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification of our Quality Management System (QMS). We’re delighted with the award as it formally recognises business best practice across the company. Dialogue also achieved BS EN 15038:2006 certification, the European quality standard for translation services.
We know this is an achievement for us, but how will it benefit the people we work with and the people we work for? The answer is that it demonstrates that the team at Dialogue works to exacting and consistent quality standards. That in turn boosts confidence and trust, both essential elements in delivering language services such as translation and interpreting.
Getting it right first time every time is embedded within the DNA here at Dialogue. It’s paramount that the service we provide is not just excellent, but that it is consistently excellent. It is how we think and work. It is the consistent theme that defines the culture here and has done for the past 20 years. It is what has created the customer loyalty that keeps them coming back time and time again.
“Our clients want to know that we’ll look after them, that they will get the support they need at each step along the journey. Which is why we’re delighted to say that the effort we’ve put into achieving the awards was worth it” said Rob Shimwell, Head of Training.
“We are thrilled. It took a lot of effort and we burnt a lot of midnight oil. But it was worth every second. We can build on our ability to deliver consistent customer service. Clients can be confident that Dialogue is committed to ongoing process improvement” said Nicola Shimwell, Head of Client Services. “The team was magnificent. We cannot thank them enough for their efforts.”
“Trust. That is what we are selling as translators. It is all about building bonds of trust. Effectively, it’s our people working with our clients’ people as trusted advisors” said Cathy Branson, Head of Translations. “Having our processes clearly defined means that we minimise avoidable errors and deliver to the highest standard possible. Over time, those bonds of trust strengthen and that in turn impacts the bottom line, as fewer hours are spent in unnecessary overseeing and managing of the translation process!”
It doesn’t stop at certification though. Dialogue is committed to performing regular audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
